Gamers, gear up for some galactic adventures! Now through July 2, you won’t want to miss Scopely’s MONOPOLY GO! ultimate crossover event. Spanning the entire Skywalker Saga and “The Mandalorian,” players can begin unlocking the limited-time Star Wars GO! album, revealing unique exclusive sticker sets inspired by the saga’s iconic moments. Participants Have a “Splash” at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon for Program Celebration
A little rain never bothered us anyways! Although the weather brought rough tides, participants dove right into Program Celebration at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon last month. Program Celebration is an event where Disney Programs participants have the opportunity to come together and celebrate their program making magic. The night was filled with endless amounts of fun, from free food, music and attractions to special character meet-and-greets.
We joined Nic – a Disney Programs intern – as he celebrated his program by letting other Disney Programs participants decide his activities for the night:

Program Celebration is one of the most anticipated events for participants. One of the largest events that you can attend while on a program, it’s a great opportunity for participants to make new friends, hang out with fellow participants and have the chance to celebrate a program full of making magic for others by experiencing some extra magic of their own.

Did you know that a group of flamingos is called a flamboyance?
April 26 is International Flamingo Day, a very important day of celebration for us here at Flamingo
Crossings Village and Disney Programs. To celebrate, we talked to Ntando, a Cultural Representative
from South Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and an expert on all things flamingos. Ntando’s role
as a savanna guide is to share her expertise on wildlife and information about her culture with guests.
She is very passionate about conservation and raising awareness about wildlife, including flamingos!

Savanna guides at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge all have a string of memories, which they wear on the
front of their costumes. Each string has nine beads representing the different activities that guests can
enjoy at the resort, such as learning about flamingo behavior, animal enrichment, environmental tips,
and music of the savanna.
This is Ntando’s second program as a Cultural Representative. “I’m glad to be back because I get to share
so much more with the guests...This platform here actually allows me to talk more about my continent,
Africa, and I get to talk with the guests as well to learn about their culture and also exchange my own
culture.
” Her favorite part of her role is talking about Africa and her culture, and sharing facts and
interesting behaviors about wildlife, especially flamingos.
Ntando’s favorite fun facts about flamingos:
• Flamingos are pink because of the food they eat! They mainly eat shrimp and algae.
• Flamingos sleep on one leg.
• Flamingos’ knees bend backwards when they walk.
